Just your typical 700 mile day.
290 miles to Columbia MO
60 more headed back east because it was getting cloudy
1 hour in Herman MO to see a total eclipse
250 miles back to home
Left 6:45 am, returned 6:30 pm. 30.5 mpg with my Si. Ran with stangs, camaro, and GTI’s.
Absolutely worth it. Who else did the Eclipse?
Camera makes it appear brighter than actual.
Camera stopped down to see corona, looks darker than it was.

I got 92% off my front porch, good enough for me. My boss spent 10 hours in traffic to catch 100% pulled over on the side of a road somewhere in Oregon.

3.5 hours up to Glendo Wy(ish) for 2:13 of totality. 8.5 hours back home. Totally worth it.

Try a total eclipse and then decide. Imagine looking into a dozen really bright headlights, then turn 11 off. It’s still a really bright headlight. See the pitch black of the moon rimmed with corona and then decide.
